Miriam joined Walsh, a Seattle
based design firm, in 1963 and
purchased the company and has
operated as its Principal since
1982. Miriam got an early start
in the business working with
her father, Frederick Walsh, one
of Seattle's founding fathers of
design.
Lisco's designs have garnered
national and international
recognition for logos, brand
integration, advertising, and
packaging for clients as
diverse as Fran's Chocolates,
Microsoft, Data Dimensions,
Icicle Seafoods, Barnes &
Watson Fine Teas, Airborne
Express, Tom Douglas,
Chugach Heritage Center in
Alaska, and since 1992, The
Bite of Seattle.
Miriam has a deep commitment
to the community and annually
donates design services to
organizations such as Digital
Blackboard Foundation, |
PONCHO Wine Auction and
the Seattle Children's Home.
She is also a member of the
Downtown Rotary Club of
Seattle #4, and has served on
the Seattle Mayor's Task Force,
Seattle Kobe Sister Cities
and on the board of the Empty
Space Theatre.
As a Seattle native, Miriam
attended Holy Names Academy
and the University of Washington.
She has two grown daughters.
Her younger daughter, Lisa, is
a third generation member
of the firm. |
